What Lies Beneath Your Roof Tiles.
On a recent visit to a home in Sheffield for a roof inspection we found this horror story underneath the roof tiles.
All the rafters that support the roof had rot throughout. This is probably the worst case of rafter damage we have ever seen in many years of roof repair.
The family was rightly terrified the structure could collapse and asked us for help immediately.
We started work on the same day and although this was a major undertaking we had to call in scaffolding and an extra team we ensured that the area was secure and waterproofing in place so that there would be no more water ingress.
After explaining to neighbours that the work was essential all agreed that later hours working was worth the disruption to make the home safe, and we do thank them for their kind consideration.
The full job was completed in only three days with two full teams working together, and the client was highly delighted with the finished results.
